Hi, I'm a Alesa Andrew-Breuer a Senior Director of Operations (PEOPLE & Entertainment Weekly), a wife, a mother of two boys and a dog. At the age of 23, I landed my dream job, at VH1 as a production assistant. My world was turned upside down when I got pregnant.  I feared I would struggle as a single mom.  However, I decided to have my son because I believed he had a purpose.  With the help of my village and God I made it!  

 

Six years later, I found love with Derek Breuer, who loved me and my son equally. Three years later, we were pregnant with twins, until I received devastating news one of the babies' had passed away.  Without regard the doctors asked me if I wanted to make the heart-wrenching decision to terminate the remaining twin pregnancy because of the high probability he could have possible birth defects.  My faith gave me the strength to move forward with the pregnancy, and 4 months later we welcomed another boy. My goal is to encourage women to prioritize self-care and create a community for moms who want a place to keep it real.
